Privacy Policy — Capoeira Daily
Effective date: 18 August 2026 · Last updated: 18 August 2026
Capoeira Daily ("the app", "we", "us", "our") is a free mobile application for learning capoeira, published on Google Play under the package name com.capoeira.daily. The app is built and operated by Timur Rogozin.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, why it is collected, who processes it, how long it is kept, and how you can have it deleted. It applies to the Android application and to the backend service at capoeiradaily.ru that supports it.
If you use Capoeira Daily, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the app and, if you wish, request deletion of your data as described in the section "Deleting your account and data" below.
1. Summary
- You can use the app without registering. On first launch we create an anonymous account identified only by a random identifier. No name, e-mail or phone number is required.
- We do not sell your data, we show no advertising, and we do not share your data with anyone for advertising or marketing purposes.
- Your profile photo never leaves your device. It is stored locally on your phone only.
- We use three third-party services — Google Firebase, Amplitude and, if you choose to sign in with them, Google, Facebook or VK.
- You can have your account and all associated data deleted at any time by writing to capoeiradailyapp@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
You choose whether to enter any of this. The app is fully usable if you leave all of it blank.
| What | When | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| First name, last name, nickname (apelido) | If you fill in the profile | Our server |
| Capoeira school | If you select one in the profile | Our server |
| Answers to the onboarding questions (experience level) | On first launch, if you complete onboarding | Our server |
| Chosen interface language and theme | When you change them | Stored on your device only |
2.2 Information created by using the app
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| An anonymous account identifier and access token | So your training progress survives reinstalling the app or moving to another device |
| Training progress: which programs, levels and days you have completed, dates and durations | To show your statistics, streaks and achievements |
| Achievements you have unlocked | To show them in the app |
2.3 Information collected automatically by third-party services
These are collected by the services listed in section 4 and are described there in more detail:
- product analytics events (which screens you opened, which training you started or finished, which achievement you shared) — Amplitude;
- crash reports and technical diagnostics: device model, operating system version, app version, app configuration at the time of the error, the time of the error, and the stack trace — Firebase Crashlytics;
- general app-usage statistics and non-advertising device identifiers — Firebase Analytics;
- an approximate location (country and, in some cases, city) that these services derive from your IP address. We never receive or store your precise, GPS-level location, and the app does not request location permission.
2.4 Information we do not collect
- Your profile photo. If you take a photo with the camera or pick one from your gallery, it is saved on your own device and displayed from there. It is not uploaded to our server and is not sent to anyone. Deleting the app removes it.
- Your precise location. The app never asks for and never receives GPS location.
- Your contacts, messages, call history, calendar, microphone or files.
- Payment information. The app is free and contains no purchases.
- The Android advertising identifier. The app carries no advertising, and we have explicitly removed the permission that would allow this identifier to be read.
3. Signing in with Google, Facebook or VK
Signing in is optional. Its only purpose is to let you recover your training progress on a new device.
If you choose to link an account, you are taken to Google, Facebook or VK, where you are told which data the app is asking for. We request your public profile — first name, last name, profile picture — and your e-mail address. Your e-mail is used solely as a stable identifier so we can recognise you when you sign in again; we do not send marketing e-mails.
We receive an access token from that provider and pass it to our server, which uses it to confirm your identity and attach the social account to your existing anonymous account.
We never receive your password, and we cannot post anything to your Google, Facebook or VK profile.
You can unlink a social account from the profile screen at any time.
How these providers handle your data is governed by their own policies:
- Google — privacy policy, terms
- Facebook (Meta) — privacy policy, terms
- VK — privacy policy, terms
4. Third-party services we use
We use the following services as data processors. They process data on our behalf and under our instructions; we do not sell your data to them or to anyone else.
Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) — three components:
- Crashlytics — collects crash reports so we can find and fix errors.
- Analytics — collects aggregate usage statistics and device identifiers. We have switched off its collection of the Android advertising identifier.
- Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications about training. You can turn notifications off at any time in your Android system settings.
Firebase privacy information: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Amplitude (Amplitude, Inc.) — product analytics. We record which parts of the app are used and how, so we can improve them. Events are attached to your account identifier and, if you selected one, your capoeira school. Privacy policy: amplitude.com/privacy
Our own server (capoeiradaily.ru) — stores your account, profile fields and training progress.
5. Permissions the app requests
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Internet, network state | To load training programs and save your progress |
| Camera | Only if you choose to take a new profile photo. The photo stays on your device |
| Notifications | To send training reminders. Optional — the app works fully if you decline |
6. How your data is protected
All communication between the app and our servers uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Starting with app version 1.0.4, unencrypted HTTP traffic is blocked entirely at the operating-system level.
We take reasonable, commercially accepted measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your account and training progress for as long as your account exists, so that your progress is not lost between devices. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it as described below.
Crash reports and analytics events are kept according to the retention settings of the services that collect them (Firebase and Amplitude), and are not used to identify you personally beyond your account identifier.
8. Deleting your account and data
You can request deletion of your account and all data associated with it at any time.
In the app: open Profile → Delete account. That screen shows your account identifier and the address to write to.
By e-mail: write to capoeiradailyapp@gmail.com from any address, including your account identifier in the message. You can find and copy the identifier on the Profile → Delete account screen.
On the web: storage.yandexcloud.net/capoeira-daily/delete-account.html
We will confirm the deletion by e-mail. Once deleted, your account, profile fields, training progress, achievements and any linked social account are permanently removed and cannot be restored.
Analytics events already recorded in aggregate form and crash reports may persist in the third-party systems described in section 4 until their own retention periods expire; these records do not contain your name or e-mail.
Uninstalling the app removes everything stored locally on your device, including your profile photo, but does not by itself delete your account on our server.
9. Children
Capoeira Daily is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please write to capoeiradailyapp@gmail.com and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. You can exercise all of these by writing to capoeiradailyapp@gmail.com. Name and nickname can also be corrected directly in the app, on the profile screen.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at the link in the app under Profile → About app → Privacy policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
