Marie Curie was born on November 7, 1867, in Warsaw, Poland. In her early years, she studied at the Sorbonne in Paris where she met her husband Pierre. During her later years, she conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. Marie is famous for discovering the elements polonium and radium, and for being the first woman to win a Nobel Prize. She died on July 4, 1934.
