How to Form Present Simple

Key Rule: Add -s/-es to the base form of the verb for he/she/it in affirmative sentences.
Rules for adding -s/-es:

Most verbs: add -s
work → works, play → plays

Verbs ending in -sh, -ch, -ss, -x, -o: add -es
wash → washes, watch → watches

Verbs ending in consonant + y: change y to i and add -es
study → studies, try → tries
