Present Simple
Subject + base verb (+ s/es for 3rd person singular)

Used for: habits, facts, routines, general truths

Example: She works in London. / They play tennis every weekend.

Present Continuous
Subject + am/is/are + verb-ing

Used for: actions happening now, temporary situations, future arrangements

Example: I am studying for my exam. / They are moving to Paris next month.

Present Perfect
Subject + have/has + past participle

Used for: past actions with present relevance, experiences, changes

Example: I have visited Paris twice. / She has lived here since 2010.

Past Simple
Subject + past tense verb

Used for: completed actions in the past, series of completed actions

Example: I visited Rome last summer. / She studied French at university.

Future Simple
Subject + will + base verb

Used for: predictions, spontaneous decisions, promises

Example: It will rain tomorrow. / I'll help you with your homework.
