Luma — Privacy policy
App and contact
This policy covers Luma (com.bapps.luma). The publisher is BApps Development LLC. Support and privacy contact: bappsdevelopment@gmail.com. Last updated: 3 November 2026.
Your journal stays on your device
Luma is an offline pregnancy and baby care journal for adult parents and caregivers. It has no account system or backend. Luma does not transmit your journal, device identifiers or usage events to the developer or to advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services. There are no such SDKs and no Internet permission in the app.
Information processed locally
You choose which profile names, birth or due dates, feeding, sleep, diaper, pumping, growth, pregnancy, movement, mood, symptom, medication, vaccination, health and free-text records to enter. Timers, reminders and preferences are also stored locally. This may include sensitive information about you or a child. Processing these records provides the features you request; it is not medical monitoring or a medical recommendation.
Storage and security
Records are kept in Android app-private storage. Android restricts access by other ordinary apps. Luma does not add its own password or file encryption. Protect your device with a screen lock. Automatic Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled in the app configuration. We have no server copy and cannot remotely restore your journal.
Reminders and permissions
Notifications are optional. On Android 13 and later, notification permission lets Luma display the local reminders you create. A boot receiver reschedules future reminders after the device restarts. Luma does not request exact-alarm, camera, microphone, contacts, location, Health Connect or broad storage permissions. Notification text is generic and does not include profile names, care types or notes. Android may delay reminders; do not rely on them for time-critical care.
Exports, backups and your chosen services
JSON backup and CSV report export happen only after your action through the Android document picker. The exported files contain personal information and are not encrypted by Luma. The destination you choose may be a cloud provider; that provider may upload, retain or share the file under its own policy. Import reads only the document you select. Luma does not automatically send backups to the developer. You decide whether to share an exported file.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you delete them, reset all data in Luma Settings, clear the app’s storage in Android Settings or uninstall the app. Resetting data also removes local reminder schedules. Previously exported copies are separate: delete them from your chosen storage and any recipients yourself. Local profiles are not online accounts; there is no remote account to delete. We cannot access or erase local records remotely.
Optional support and this website
If you email support, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send. Luma attaches no journal automatically. We use correspondence to answer your request and delete messages and attachments under our control within six months after the issue is closed, unless law or protection of legal rights requires longer. Email providers process messages under their own terms. Do not send complete journals or identity documents unnecessarily. This static public page is intended for Yandex Cloud Object Storage hosting on infrastructure in Russia. Opening it in your browser gives the host technical request data such as IP address, request time and HTTP information; the page contains no analytics, advertising, cookies, forms or external resources.
Your choices and changes
Use the app to view, correct, export and delete local information. For support correspondence, access, deletion or other privacy questions, email bappsdevelopment@gmail.com and identify Luma and your request. Depending on applicable law, other rights and a right to complain to a supervisory authority may apply. If data handling changes, this policy and its date will be updated. The local privacy text can be read without opening the hosted page.
