App and privacy contact
This policy describes data handling in Arev · Արև (com.bapps.arev), an app for preparing for the Armenian Constitution test. Its public Google Play developer name is BApps Development LLC. For support and privacy questions, contact bappsdevelopment@gmail.com.
Learning data on your device
No account is required. Language, appearance, daily goal, bookmarks, completed lessons, answers, mock-exam history, your active session and review schedule are saved in the app's private storage. They let you resume learning and see progress. This storage has no cloud synchronization; standard Android automatic app backup is disabled.
When statistics are enabled, some learning actions are also reflected in the analytics events below. Local storage of your history does not mean that information about every learning action always stays on the device.
Usage statistics and error reports
Arev uses AppMetrica, an analytics service provided by Yandex, to understand how learning features are used and diagnose errors. Product events can include screens visited; starting, pausing, resuming, replacing or completing a session; mode, topic, question count and duration; built-in question or lesson IDs, answer correctness and aggregate scores; lesson and bookmark changes; limited setting changes; opening an explanation or built-in source; and resetting progress. Search events contain only the query type, length range and result-count range, not the query itself. Learning-session UUIDs and a complete copy of local progress storage are not included in our product-event parameters.
The SDK also processes sessions, technical device, OS, screen, app, installation and connection information, its own SDK/installation identifiers, including App Set ID when available, and crash and diagnostic reports. Its servers receive the connection IP address, from which the service may infer an approximate region. Advertising-identifier tracking and SDK location tracking are disabled; the app requests no GPS/location permission. This does not disable the service's own technical identifiers. Statistics are not fully anonymous: technical identifiers can link events.
Statistics are transmitted to Yandex and available to the developer in analytics reports. Network transmission is encrypted. Provider information: https://appmetrica.yandex.com/docs/en/data-security/google-data-safety and https://yandex.ru/legal/confidential/en/.
Your choice
In the current version, statistics sending is on by default; there is no separate prior-consent dialog. You can turn it off in Settings → Usage statistics. Your choice is saved; theory, practice and mock exams remain available. Our new product events stop and the SDK is instructed to disable data transmission. This does not erase information already sent or guarantee removal of an SDK buffer accumulated earlier.
The app does not require your name, email, phone number, passport or citizenship details. It does not access contacts, messages, camera, microphone, personal files or calendar. It has no ads, purchases or account creation.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you delete them. Settings → Reset progress removes learning results, history and lesson-completion marks while preserving settings and bookmarks. To erase every local record, open Android Settings, select Arev and clear the app's storage. Uninstalling normally also removes its private storage. We have no remote access to these records or server copy from which to restore them.
Information already transmitted is processed and retained under applicable AppMetrica terms during use of the service and until deletion in that service. Actual retention depends on provider settings and rules; the app does not promise a fixed period that it cannot enforce. Turning statistics off, clearing storage or uninstalling Arev does not itself delete previously transmitted telemetry.
To request access, correction or deletion of server-side data, email bappsdevelopment@gmail.com, name Arev and describe your request. We will explain which records we can identify and delete and, when necessary, work with the provider. Without an account, locating an installation may require additional technical information; we will explain what is needed. Do not send identity documents, your full answer history or unnecessary personal information. Applicable timing and limitations will be explained when handling the request under the relevant rules.
Optional support emails
If you email bappsdevelopment@gmail.com, we receive your sender address, message and attachments and use them to respond and resolve the issue. The app does not automatically attach learning history. Email providers also process correspondence under their own terms. Support is optional for learning.
We delete correspondence and attachments we control no later than six months after the issue is closed, unless longer retention is needed by law or to protect legal rights. To access, correct or delete correspondence, write to the same address. The email provider's technical deletion and backup processes are governed separately by its terms.
External services and this public page
Built-in sources open in an external browser or other app and handle information under their own policies. Arev does not append your answers or results to their addresses. The privacy text inside the app can be read without loading a web page.
This public page is hosted by Yandex Cloud Object Storage on infrastructure in Russia. When you open it, your browser and the host receive technical information needed to deliver and secure the page, such as IP address, request time and HTTP details. The page has no scripts, analytics cookies, remote fonts, forms or advertising pixels. AppMetrica analytics and delivery of this web page are separate processes. Hosting information: https://yandex.cloud/en/security/data-privacy.
AppMetrica/Yandex processes information under its published terms; the app does not guarantee that analytics or correspondence is stored exclusively in a single country, the US or the EU. Analytics processing terms: https://yandex.ru/legal/metrica_agreement/en/.
Security and privacy requests
Android restricts other apps' access to private app storage. Protect your device with a screen lock. The publisher's access to reports and correspondence is used for the purposes described here. We do not promise absolute security or independent security certification of the app.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict processing of information, or to object to it. Contact bappsdevelopment@gmail.com. For local learning records, use Android deletion controls because we have no remote copy. If you believe statistics or a support email contains information about a child, contact us so we can review it and, where appropriate, request deletion.
